LMS has introduced LMS Test.Lab Rev 8 for noise and vibration testing and engineering. Rev 8 Test.Lab provides faster test preparation, efficient data acquisition, flexible processing, powerful reporting and transparent data sharing. LMS Test.Lab Rev 8 introduces a new MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) Sine Testing acquisition solution that uses stepped sine excitation technique to measure high quality FRFs, which allow the concentration of the excitation energy at a single frequency. The new LMS Test.Lab Stepped Sine workbook has been extensively validated in different testing assignments, including Ground Vibration Testing of a full aircraft, and several full-vehicle four-poster test rigs for vibration and acoustic comfort. The newly introduced high-definition acoustic camera in LMS Test.Lab combines beam forming and focalisation methods to localise the sound sources on a structure. LMS Test.Lab visualises the sound fields through animation as a function of time and/or frequency, giving the user a clear indication of the acoustic hot spots. The new sound intensity solution in LMS Test.Lab Rev 8 supports an easy definition and calibration of one or more intensity probes. It allows users to measure the pressure residual intensity index of the probe and to perform an online calculation of the residual intensity as a quality indicator of the measurement. Click one of the following templates: Multiple SCOs Allows you to add SCOs as individual files. However, you cannotgroup the files into modules. You can add multiple assessmentsusing this template. The final score reported to the LMS is theaverage user score across the assessments. Simple Remediation Allows you to add multiple modules. In each module, you canadd content files and post-tests. You can add different weightagesto each of these modules, total amounting to 100%. The score reportedto the LMS is the average of the weightages that users score inindividual modules. Users can take the post-test only afterviewing all the content files. Pre-test Or Post-test Rollup Allows you to add multiple modules, each containing pretests,content, and post-tests. For every module,users are allowed to take pretest first; content and post-testsare disabled. If users pass the pretest, they are considered tohave completed the module and the subsequent module is enabled.If users fail the pretest, the content files are enabled, and afterthey complete viewing all the content files, the post-tests areenabled.You can add different weightages to each of the modules,total amounting to 100%.
