The son of the late iconic pitchman Billy Mays tells PEOPLE that although he didn't grow up with his dad in his life every day as a child, they later developed a close relationship. "My parents were divorced. I lived with my mom in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and spent summers with my dad in Florida. I would also see him when he would come to town. He was like a traveling pitchman for years and years, and so I would see him every time he would come through for the Pittsburgh home show," Billy tells PEOPLE exclusively of his father. Billy remembers "playing with X-Men toys under the booth while my dad was pitching" at conventions and later, visiting his dad during marathon stints at the Home Shopping Network. Billy was in high school when his dad started becoming a bonafide public figure. "He was definitely known by then because some of the big commercials had come out in 2000. I was a freshman in high school then, and he was very well-known in our town. It was a big thing that people were picking up. By the time I was in college, it definitely changed to him being very famous." Billy recalled a teacher who would call his name during attendance and then ask, "Like the guy on TV?" You can adjust the settings later if you want:More accurate code analysis and refactoringsWe’re continuing to make code analysis in CLion more accurate:“Condition is always true/false” message is not duplicated now when a constant variable is used in condition (CPP-21829).We optimized the way MISRA and Clang-Tidy settings from the UI are passed to the actual call (CPP-28568).We fixed a regression problem with the false Clang-Tidy warning shown for the TEST macros (CPP-28309).Make Clangd correctly recognize the -std=gnu++23 option.Code intentions and refactorings also got a few fixes:Intention Add braces to for statement no longer inserts an unnecessary semicolon and can now preserve the user’s comments (CPP-28879).The refactoring invert if condition no longer results in broken code if the condition has an inverted macro (CPP-28620).Improved code completionWe’re continuing to make CLion Clangd-based code completion more accurate and useful:Code completion no longer ignores namespaces inside templates (CPP-28297).CLion now suggests class names in the completion lists after the new keyword.Do not show __1 namespace in completion list (CPP-29042).We improved the conversion limitations for postfix completion and brought them in line with the limitations that are used for smart completion (CPP-28630).CLion now doesn’t show the postfix completion for bit fields (CPP-25873).In CMake, Qt-related commands were added to completion lists (CPP-28811):CMake PresetsWhen auto-creating CLion profiles for all the configure and build presets defined in the CMakePresets.json and CMakeUserPresets.json files, CLion now uses a new naming scheme for the CMake profiles created in CLion:Configure presets are imported with configure-preset-name name.Build presets are imported as a configure-preset-name - build-preset-name combination. We’ve also enabled a copy action for profiles created from presets so you can edit them in CLion.Have you tried the CMake Presets integration in CLion? Feel free to share your feedback with us!Other enhancementsTo improve the performance of the compiler information collection in the case of Docker toolchain, CLion now uses docker exec instead of run.Valgrind Memcheck no longer shows the incorrect error about the failed download of the specific files when launched in the remote mode.CLion now notifies users when Valgrind Memcheck is launched for the release configuration and the debug information is missing for the executable as a result. The full release notes are available here. I am trying to initialize a 2D concurrent_hash_map, a container available in the Intel TBB library. Compilation passes and there is no error at runtime. However, not all initialized values are available in the container leading to incorrect behavior. The hash map is defined as[cpp]templatestruct MyHashCompare { static size_t hash(const K& key) { return boost::hash_value(key); } static bool equal(const K& key1, const K& key2) { return (key1 == key2); }};typedef concurrent_hash_map > ColMap;typedef concurrent_hash_map > RowMap;[/cpp]The function object is defined as follows. Could the reason for the incorrect behavior originate here?[cpp]class ColumnInit { RowMap *const pMyEdgeMap; public: void operator()(const blocked_range& r) const { RowMap* pEdgeMap = pMyEdgeMap; RowMap::accessor accessX; ColMap::accessor accessY; for(size_t n1 = r.begin(); n1 != r.end(); n1++) { pEdgeMap->insert(accessX, n1); for(int n2 = 1; n2 { int diff = abs((int)n1 - n2); if ((diff == 8) || (diff == 1)) { assert((accessX->second).insert(accessY, n2)); accessY->second = -1; } else { assert((accessX->second).insert(accessY, n2)); accessY->second = 0; } } } } ColumnInit(RowMap* pEdgeMap): pMyEdgeMap(pEdgeMap) { }};[/cpp]The function object is invoked from a call to parallel_for as follows:[cpp]parallel_for(blocked_range(1,64,16), ColumnInit((RowMap*)&mEdges), simple_partitioner());[/cpp]Any suggestions or feedback would be great.Thanks.. You, this morning in Divine grace, when we confess, Lord? I, Your servant, I confess an inability. I don't even have one thing, Lord, that I can present to You as a merit. We're unworthy. None of us can do that, Lord. We're not worthy for the things that we're going to ask for. But, Lord, we know that Jesus went away up into glory, and there preparing a place to come and receive us unto Himself. And He told us that He would send us a Comforter, which would be the Holy Spirit, and He would do His work and would abide with us forever.O Holy Spirit, Spirit of God, come afresh this morning upon us, and a-vindicate Your Presence, Lord, in the same manner that You did when You walked here on earth, that this audience might know that You are here in these last days to vindicate Your Word, and to prove that "as it was in the days of Lot, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of man." Lord, it's to Your honor and glory we ask this, as we submit ourselves to You with our confession. Cleanse us by Thy Blood, Lord. Wash us by the water of the Word, and cleanse us in the Blood. And present us, Lord, as examples, as Peter said in the text reading this morning, to the unbelieving world. For we ask it in Jesus Christ's Name. Amen. 161 I'm going to ask the sister now with the–and the piano, just a moment. We may be a teeny bit late today, but, oh, I don't get to come too often. Just have patience with us, just, will everybody just stay for a few minutes? Now, we're going to pray for everyone. Billy, Billy Paul, wherecpp -cpp v3.15.0 -
