The Truth About Aceable: A Driver's Review - Aceable

If you’re thinking about learning to drive, you've come to the right place!Aceable is here to make getting your drivers license easy (and even fun)! And despite our course being taught by a self-deprecating, hilarious, and roguishly handsome robot (he wrote that), we are super serious about teaching our students to become safe, confident, “Aceable” drivers. You probably have a few questions about everything from taking drivers ed to passing your driving test. Let’s walk through it step by step!Step 1: Complete Drivers EdThe first thing you’ll need to do to get a license is sign up for a drivers education course. You need to pick a course that is approved by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), and you need to look at reviews to make sure the course is legit. You can choose a course that meets in a classroom after school or on the weekends. If you go this route, you’ll need to ensure you have a ride, and the classes don’t conflict with your schedule.Or if that sounds like a hassle, you could go with an online course. Aceable is entirely online, so you can choose when and where you learn. With Aceable, all you need is your phone or computer, and you are ready. You can start our course right now if you like! The State requires drivers ed to be 30 hours long, regardless of whether you take it in a classroom or online. Aceable’s course promises to make those 30 hours as entertaining as possible while still preparing you for the driving test and beyond! How do we make drivers' ed entertaining? The learning experts at Aceable go to great lengths to design engaging and interactive lessons based on the latest learning science. Our team of creators and engineers constantly develops new features and educational activities that make learning stick. Here’s what you’ll learn from Aceable drivers ed: How to share the road with othersHow to be a giver, not a taker, when it comes to the right of wayHow to understand what all those traffic signs and signals are trying to tell youWhat the speed limit is, and why speeding is badHow to keep your vehicle in tip-top shapeWhat to do if your car breaks down or you have a collisionWhy you should never use your phone while drivingWhy you should never drink or use drugs while drivingHow to turn, park, and how different intersections workYou’ll learn more stuff, but I don’t want to lose you, so I will stop here. Our ultimate goal at Aceable is to give our students the knowledge they need to ace the driving test and be lifelong safe drivers. That’s what we’re all about.Step 2: Ace Your Permit TestOnce you’ve finished your drivers ed course, you can head to the DMV and take your permit test. If you’re an Aceable student, you will feel very prepared for this test. Our app has hundreds of practice test questions you can take as many times as you like. We also include many pop-up questions throughout the course to ensure you’re learning as you go. The DMV also provides practice tests. Pretty nice of them!Step 3: Learn to DriveNow, this is one part you can’t do on our app. You have to drive an actual car to learn to drive! But everything you’ve learned in the course will prepare you for the happy day when you slide into the driver’s seat for the first time. If you feel a little nervous, don’t worry; that’s normal! The more driving practice you do, the more confident you’ll feel. Step 4: Ace Your Driving TestOkay! Finally, after 30 hours of drivers ed and 50+ hours of driving practice, you can take the driving test and get your license (assuming you are 16 and meet all the other criteria). This is the day you get to show that DMV person who gives you the test what a fantastic (Aceable) driver you are. They will probably thank you for getting your license and improving the roads with safe driving. Here’s what you’ll need to be able to do to ace your driving test:Safely operate a vehicleUse safe driving habitsApply your knowledge of traffic lawsThat’s all there is to it! You have to show the state of California your safe driving skills (which you have been learning this whole time from Aceable and your driving practice), and you will nail that test!Have any more questions? We have a lot more information for you at Aceable.com where you can learn more about our course, get signed up for drivers ed, and start working towards being an Aceable driver right away!
